Native American Powwow open to the public. Friday, August 14 - California Night with California Traditional Dancers. Ten different groups with the Bear Dancers on last. Gourd Dancing Saturday and Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Contest Powwow starts Saturday, Grand Entry at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Many Tribes from across the United States are represented in beautiful regalia in all age groups from toddlers to Golden Age. Drummers and Singers singing time honored songs. Arts and crafts, jewelry, pottery, paintings and rugs will be for sale with many of the original artists on site. Artists attend from around the United States, Hopi, Navajo and California style. Food for sale: Indian Tacos, fry bread, strawberry shortcake, (fresh strawberries on hot fry bread with whipped creme)are some of the items for sale. Mr. Joe Morris, Navajo Code Talker will be available to meet you or your group. He has been honored by the President of the United States and is alwlays our special guest. Free parking.
