About Us

I am an artist.  My craft is focused on wearable art mostly made from previously used materials.  I believe in repurposing and have found thousands of people who share the same passion.  In addition, I collect/rescue many items that can easily be made into something new or fixed and put back to use.

I started doing things with my hands when I was a little girl.  I had found a box at my grandmother's house, containing some items I didn't understand and asked her what they were.  She explained that it was her sewing kit, comprised of a thimble, a pincushion, several spools of thread, needles and pins.  She showed me how to work them.  Before passing, she gave me that box and told me that as long as my hands work, I will never go hungry.  Eight years ago, I recalled what my grandmother had told me and today, I find sewing things by hand very relaxing and therapeutic.
